Wise Words in 1-Minute Or Less (# 1)

Take no thought for your life

“The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish.” – Proverbs 10:3a KJV

God loves the righteous so much that He doesn’t want them to starve in any way.

But first, let’s see how Merriam-Webster defines the word “famish”. It is “to cause to suffer severely from hunger”.

Whether it be physical or spiritual food, you can rest assured that God DOESN’T want the righteous to suffer any lack.

God is your provider

Matthew Henry further emphasizes that the favor of God, which is your life and livelihood, will keep you alive in famine.

“The soul of the righteous shall be kept alive by the word of God, and faith in his promise, when young lions shall lack and suffer hunger.” (Henry, 1706)

In Luke 12:22 (KJV) you’ll read God’s promise. “And He said unto His disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.”

“Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?” – Luke 12:24 (KJV)

“If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will He clothe you, O ye of little faith?” – Luke 12:28 (KJV)

Believer, it is our Father’s joy to provide you with blessings you can enjoy.
